About Us


Venezia Bakery specializes in the highest quality artisan breads, bagels, pastries and specialty baked goods for commercial distribution. We are a local family-owned and -operated small business, and we service customers large and small throughout the Valley. Our client list includes many noted Valley restaurants that feature Venezia Bakery products on their menus.

Our bakery was established in Tempe in the early 2000s, and we’re proud to say that many of our customers have been with us since the start. Chuck and Penny Shanley purchased the bakery from the Realamonte family in 2008, and Chi Abeyta joined the team in 2013.

We opened our first restaurant in the middle of this pandemic. Chi and Venezia Bakery has been a blessing. I can’t tell you how many people appreciate a fresh and quality product. Their bread is the best bread I’ve had in years. I never eat the bread served with my breakfast; however, I noticed it is never left on a plate. We actually get side orders with just jam. The service and delivery is also prompt and consistent. Chi will sit down with us and see what we need and she will go out of her way to create a product our restaurant needs.
